INVITRO To Play Free Benefit Concert For Victims Of Minxx Club Shooting

April 3, 2007

INVITRO, the California-based band featuring ex-SNOT/SOULFLY guitarist Mikey Doling, has announced a free benefit concert at Minxx strip club in Las Vegas on April 4, 2007 at 12 noon. The show will be hosted by comedian Ralphie May of the NBC's hit reality series "Last Comic Standing". Proceeds raised during the performance will go towards the medical bills for three Minxx employees who were wounded in a February shooting that broke out at the club.

43-year-old Minxx security guard Tom Urbanski was left a paraplegic as a result of the multiple gunshot wounds he suffered during the incident, which involved Adam "Pacman" Jones of the Tennessee Titans and members of his entourage. Since then, Urbanski has endured a series of costly medical procedures and rehabilitation that will continue for the rest of his life.

"I've been good friends with Minxx owner Dwight Chornomud since we played college football together at San Diego State," says Gridiron Records' Kyle Turley. "When I heard about the horrible tragedy that happened at Dwight's club I had to do everything I could to help these people out and get back on track. I also think this incident cast a shadow on NFL players and we wanted people to know that most of us don't condone the reprehensible actions of a few select players on the evening in question."

INVITRO is currently finishing up a 57-date tour with SEVENDUST and DIECAST. The band is set to release their debut album, "When I Was A Planet", in summer of 2007 through Gridiron Records, the new label founded by Doling and Kansas City Chiefs offensive tackle Kyle Turley.
